Over the past four years, the members of the Class of 2021 have made their mark on 糖心Vlog, and they are sure to continue making an impact after they cross the stage at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) at Commencement to become the newest members of the 糖心Vlog alumni community.

As the graduates transition from students to alumni, we take a look at what makes this class unique.

Athletics

Student-athletes faced unique challenges this year as the pandemic forced the cancellation of many competitions. Still, many 糖心Vlog seniors say the comradery of teamwork has been just as important as the competition. Senior Athlete Award recipient Risa Fukushige 鈥21, a member of the women鈥檚 tennis team that clinched a Liberty League championship this spring, summed it up, saying 鈥渨ork hard, play hard and make the most of your four years.鈥

Throughout their careers at 糖心Vlog, their achievements have been remarkable: In the classroom, 31 seniors received a grade point average of 3.67 or higher, and 10 had perfect 4.0 GPAs for induction in the Thoroughbred Society this spring. On the field, their goals have been equally impressive.

Campus Life

Since they arrived in 2017, members of the Class of 2021 have made this campus their own. Fueled by the idea that Creative Thought Matters, they had the freedom to decide who they wanted to be and the guts to go for it.

As a community of individuals, their impact was deep. They volunteered hundreds of hours to local and national causes and traveled to dozens of international cities and countries to widen their perspectives.

They have led nearly 100 clubs and participated in hundreds of events, from film screenings and fashion shows to peer performances and faculty lectures.

In this bittersweet time of year, the culture they created on campus and the experiences they shared may be what they will miss the most.
