Annual Driver Re-Authorization

Students (sponsored by a department and needing to drive for a college-related purpose) who meet the eligibility requirements can become re-authorized each academic year to drive a college-owned, leased or rented vehicle.

Re-Authorization Procedures:

  • REFRESH yourself with the Motor Vehicle Policy
  • RETAKE, annually, the on-line Driver Safety Training Course & Golf Cart Safety Training, if applicable). 
  • RESUBMIT specify your REASON FOR DRIVING (Example: internship, field placement, club, etc.) and the FACULTY/STAFF NAME & DEPARTMENT that is sanctioning your travel.

Following receipt of your email, Risk Management will obtain and review your 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).  Student will be notified, within 5 business days, if they are approved or denied.
